All are fed at the Farm

WHO WE ARE

Food is the vessel through which we serve others, creating unity in the community. The founders of Farming 4 Hunger planted seeds from their hearts that continue to blossom across generations, populations, and communities. Those seeds flourished because of their hard work, unwavering passion, and philanthropic nature.

WHAT WE DO

Farming 4 Hunger is a non-profit organization that feeds people both physically and mentally through locally grown and distributed food and Life Sharing initiatives, helping to build a better Southern Maryland community.
We do this by:

  • Addressing the Hunger problem in the Southern Maryland Community

  • Offering volunteer opportunities to let people experience the process of helping others

  • Helping community members and volunteers internally struggling to regain hope through experience sharing

  • Addressing drug abuse and alcohol prevention for children and young adults

  • Helping ex-cons rehabilitate and contribute to their community

  • Growing healthy food for the Southern Maryland community

If you prefer to study in your own time and at your own speed then one of our e-learning packages may be right up your street.

OUR 4 CORE OBJECTIVES

Food provision for the hunger community. We partner with the Maryland Food Bank, churches, and organizations to distribute the food in Southern Maryland.

Community Building through volunteer opportunities to help harvest and educate our youth and justice, involved individuals.

We provide hands-on education about living healthy, local agriculture, and giving back within our community and reaching out to the youth.

We partner with the Department of Corrections to provide community service opportunities and workforce training to inmates.
